Alright for the people know anything about the Honey and Clover drama. Well this song sang by Ken Hirai called Canvas is the ending single to the drama. However, unlike the song, the drama is pretty bad. First off all, it didn’t follow the manga (though is expected), but the style of writing, for example, how things were set up wasn’t that great (unlike Hana Kimi drama, even though it didn’t follow the manga, but it was fun to watch even if is kinda stupid. Also a side note, the actor of the main character Takemoto in Honey and Clover, is Nakatsu from Hana Kimi.). Some of the actors aren’t well picked, since they made the original characters out of character (like Morita, Ayu, and sometimes Mayama). Although whatever, I already dropped the drama. Still I like to share this song with everyone. I think is really good.
p.s. I’ll translate it later after my deadlines of projects and exams.
few things you need to know:
“焼きつけた” does not mean “dazzles,” because it means to burn. However, because burning something is to imprint something to an object or to set something on fire. I can’t translate her facing being burn with fire, since that’s not what it means. It only means her smile is bright and it imprinted in him.
“ゴロゴロ” is one of those sound affects, in this case it’s the sound of something turning. In english it’s weird to describe someone’s chest is turning… but whatever, it just means he is conflicting with himself in a light hearted manner.
