Ensei:

If I complain anymore, rather than the people that’s already annoyed by me shooting me. I would like to shoot myself. What can I say, it’s annoying, not to mention boring. So I’m just gonna write up reviews for the movies I watched in the theater recently.

So three weeks ago, I went and watched The Eye with a friend. Well I should get something out of the way first before I rate the movie. The truth is, I’m afraid of ghosts, like so much I can’t sleep with lights off. That’s if I ever watched a ghost movie. Embarrassing, I know. Although I’m happy to announce I’m not afraid of anything else. So I pretty much gone to the movie with this intense fear that mine mind will start to see things for the next week or so. To my surprise was that, the movie wasn’t scary at all. No high or low rise of the plot. Even though I haven’t see the Chinese version of the film, but from the clips I saw on youtube, the remake followed the original fairly close. I think that might be the reason it felt very plain. In other words, I totally agree with duster, the original Chinese version of The Eye sucked.
To be honest, I actually think the older ghost movies are more bewitched than the recent ones. I mean, what’s with the random screaming when the ghost showed up? She sees ghosts, not hearing ghosts. I understand she was able to hear them, but why sounded like they screamed all at once? Or the emotionless acts from the ghost? Of course, seeing people running in the youtube clips, I felt like there was zero adrenaline rush at their end, yet the stupid screaming won’t stop, later it just got annoying.
For the American version, despise the fact that Jessica Abla isn’t a very good actor in most of her movies. She did a good job in The Eye. It was just too bad, I feel like the director went on with his way of showing a scene where Abla were holding a ghost. That scene, I think was the worst of all in the movie. It was so cheesy and made Abla’s character retarded looking. Other than that, the whole movie wasn’t too bad. For example, they didn’t randomly insert screaming or did they made the ghosts act like robots. So I would rate it around 70~75%.

Well as for yesterday’s movie Jumper. I think I’m still in denial, wanting to make the movie sound as good as possible. Though, with my friends here to correct me, I guess that denial thing isn’t working very well. In short, the movie was bad. Alright, maybe not so bad you shouldn’t watch it for fun (meaning rent it), but I won’t advice you to waste money to go see it in theater. The movie had so much potential, but the story’s setup was just so out of place, it made movies like X-Men actually looks good. I understand for an action movie, it’s rare to have a good plot, (ie. Transformers or Mr.& Ms. Smith) yet it should be fun to watch anyways (since the actions make up for it). Well Jumper is SOMEWHAT like that, but with less action or rather less tension, made the movie very plain. Although I have to admit that some of the action scenes, or the way the character done their jumps was pretty sweet.
Of course, the actors can’t act, besides Samuel L. Jackson and Jamie Bell. For example, the actor played the teen David was actually better than Hayden Christensen, who played the older David. Wow, what did I expect? I mean really, the Star Wars II&III movies sucked so much we switched it out half way through and watched Sin City instead, and Sin City wasn’t that good of movie either. The main girl can’t actor. Or maybe because the director/script writers are on caffeine at the time when they thought of the name Jumper. Since her emotions/thoughts/feeling pretty much jump all over the place, just like everything about the movie. Oh and the “plot twist” at the end was so, so, SO bad, it made the movie look like their budget won’t allow them to make any further than they are now. So just did a random cut on the film and declare that as an ending. Man, I can keep on ranting about this movie, but because I can’t give away any plot line. It’s pointless to even continue, so I’m just gonna stop here and post a picture I drew last night before the movie. So I give the movie 68-74%. (Please go watch Juno, Cloverfield, even Step Up 2 or something… bah, sorry I told people to go see this movie =___=….. IT HAD POTENTIAL DAMN IT!!! lllorz)

So this is Reisen from Touhou, although she isn’t my fav character, but she is the only one have a clothing design that I like. So I don’t have to redesign anything. Still I rushed, and didn’t really finish the drawing, but whatever, I have other things to do. Here it isnull
